The Rotary Foundation of Prospect-Goshen, Inc. (RFPG) exists to raise and disburse the significant funds necessary to support the charitable and philanthropic work of the Rotary Club of Prospect-Goshen. As a Foundation with IRS 501(c )(3) status, donations to the RFPG are tax deductible for individuals, and allows corporate donors to support the RFPG as well.

All members of the Rotary Club of Prospect-Goshen are members of the RFPG. The RFPG is managed by a Board of Directors, numbering not more than 12 members, who typically serve staggered three year terms. In order to qualify to serve as a Director of the RFPG, an individual must have been a member of the Rotary Club of P-G for more than one year. Officers of the RFPG Board are elected each year to one-year terms by the members of the Board.

In harmony with its two functions, the RFPG has two standing committees: the Fundraising Committee and the Programs Committee, each with its own chairperson. As of 2008, the major fundraiser for the RFPG is its annual Fall Classic Golf Scramble, held the first Monday of October. The primary outside beneficiary of the Fall Classic since 2006 has been “Smile Kentucky”, an organization dedicated to providing dental care to children unable to afford these much-needed health services.

Other recent projects supported by the RFPG have included: Youth Alive; The Ville AAU basketball; Project Women; The Society of St. Vincent De Paul; Metro-Rotary Unsung Heroes; The Nativity Academy; Hospital Hospitality House; H.O.S.T. House; Girl Scouts of America; The $100 Solution; Home of the Innocents; The Sudanese Refugee Education Fund; The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, as well as supporting other Rotary projects in Kentucky, the United States and internationally.
